Merry-Go-Round

I’ve had a family-packed week and finally feel as if the merry-go-round is coming to a stop.  It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be, too.  I still have to check e-mails and various other communications so now I’m feeling a bit stressed about being behind, you know?  I could use a day off but we are starting another project today for the wonderful Hilton — this time, however, we are not working the overnight hours.  I’m not sure my sanity would have survived that.

By now, I hope you’ve had a chance to check out the 2008 Top 9 Faux Wish List.  This year we are celebrating the holidays with more of a sense of giving in gratitude and less of giving in frivolity.  I did find some frivolous items that I would love to have, though.  Keep in mind I’m more of a Tim Burton & Neil Gaiman kind of girl than Hello Kitty.  Check them out.

(Above) I sorta like that good vs. evil theme in the seating choices above. The umbrella lighting just makes me laugh.  Must be my happy Mary Poppins memories.  (Below) Although the setting here is a bit too traditional for me, I do like the arch of this bookcase.  I can totally see connecting quite a few and having them wind around several walls playfully, like a wayward vine.  With my books as the “leaves”.  (Active imagination, I know, I know.)

I thought these pics would be kind of fun to look at and kind of a nice way to ease back into the blog after the holiday.  We will return to our regularly scheduled faux program as the week progresses.  (…and can you believe it’s December already?  I was just celebrating New Years!  I don’t like this getting older stuff.  Where’s a Twilight vampire when you need him?)
