Window Scenes

January 27, 2009 No Comments by Regina

It seems like decorative painters can work on any surface today thanks to a great selection of professional materials.? We can finish walls and ceilings, of course, but you can also include floors, countertops, cabinets, tiles, fireplaces, light fixtures…the list goes on. I did smile when I saw the following pics of painted cornices with both stencilling?and?a handpainted scene.

Here are some from The Well Appointed House in New York.

You can take this idea into a child’s room by cutting the board in an unusual shape (a crown or a car, for instance) and then painting them — you would create a completely unique?extra for that child’s room.? The ideas are unlimited here.? Window cornice?boards are a bit of?an unexpected area to?see decorative painting but I think it adds an extra dose of charm and originality.? Until next time!
