Oh, the Sites I Stumble Upon
I can usually be found on the Internet.? Don’t get me wrong — I love feeling the sun on my face and getting out of the house — but I do love my laptop so.? I imagine that one day my screen is going to go pink and big chocolate brown letters are going to come up and say “Regina.? You have seen everything the Internet has to offer.? It’s done.? Finito.? Kaput.? There’s nothing else to see here, honey.? I wish there was but darn did?we exhaust it all.? We did give it our best didn’t we?? We’ll always have Paris…dot com.”?
But, until that fateful day, I’ll still enjoy all the sites I’ve stumbled upon.? And lo and behold I did discover a great site called Stumble Upon.? What it does is take your interests and literally scope the web for sites you might find interesting.? I registered, answered some quick questions and Voila!? I had site after site to see — it was like landing in Oz.? You can then let it know whether you like that site or not and then Hal?intelligently fine tunes the sites they present to you.? I wanted to share one with you: 50 Strange Buildings of the World.? Here are a few:
Top Down: The Ideal Palace, the Walt Disney Concert Hall,?Crooked House?and?Eden Project.?
They also suggest visiting Unusual Architecture?to see more architectural wonders.? So, just thought I’d pass that along.? I’ve also learned about mythology in art, got a how-to on painted wallpaper, learned how to scribble?and found a printable checklist.? My work here is done!
