Asheville, NC
Here is the picture that started it all.? About a year ago, this shot was the inspiration for what was to become the?ballroom for the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Asheville, NC.? I feel that I am very, very, very lucky to work with the design team and owner of the Kessler Collection since they are all about bringing inspired artistry into their one-of-a-kind boutique hotels.? I’ve worked with them on two other properties before and they brought me in on this project.? We were commissioned to do the distressed faux work on the Ballroom & Pre-Function areas in addition to providing the mirrors for these areas as well as one of the lobbies, the public bathrooms and smaller elevator panels.? We’ve been working non-stop — have you noticed I haven’t written?
The Orlando team is finishing the final mirrors this week and then they come up to join the NC team this weekend — we will then go into?hyperdrive by adding the finishing touches which include gorgeous metallics and?gold leafing.??I’m giving you a mirror sneak peek?and?of?some “before” elements but I’m also going to be taking?major After shots.
I do hope you consider visiting Asheville, NC and staying at the Grand Bohemian Hotel.? From the brief tour I took on the first day to get my bearings, it looks to be quite the stunner.? My jaw dropped at the lobby, I kid you not!? (I’ll post pics soon.)? They have the Biltmore House nearby that you can visit and?it is a lovely town from what I gather (haven’t had any opportunity to sightsee, LOL!).?? Going to sleep now…early day tomorrow…

OMG! So far the mirrors look AMAZING! Very, very nice… but I would expect nothing but perfection from you and your crew. I can’t wait to see what happens to the walls and that ceiling. Thanks for the email in between your jaunts to NC… we’ll touch base once you’ve had a chance to sleep for a month when this project is done. Don’t forget to take breaks, bend, stretch and breath. Be well my friend.

I think I need to remodel my house door and ceiling to look exactly like those. I can’t think of a reason not to.
