A Call to Columns

Columns.

Upright pillars that more often than not call for something special. Something unique. Something completely artistic.

Those are the columns we are looking for!

Are you ready for your close-up?

Our week-long series focus on one area with five different artists profiled during the week.  The artists are chosen from the submissions received.  We’ve previously covered Elevators, Groin Ceilings and Powder Rooms. Those links take you to the first day of that specific week and there is a list of links at the bottom so you can see the rest of the wonderful artists and ideas profiled for that specific area.

The submission lines are now open for unique and wonderful Columns.  We like a nice variety here at Fauxology so please do send in your inspired designs or finishes — whether they be hand-painted, waxed, embossed, troweled or something else entirely!  If you think the project deserves to shine, send it in!  One thing that may not be profiled is marbled columns (unless they have a twist, i.e., the marble is created with Venetian Plaster).  Think of it as your time to showcase your talents!

To be considered, please send your images to Submissions@Fauxology.com by Friday, May 20th with the subject line “Column Week”. You can send as many images as you’d like and if you have two or three projects, that’s fine, too.  If chosen for one of the five (5) slots during Column Week, I will be sure to let you know where and when to send follow-up information. Those chosen will have their own one-day feature on Fauxology. As I’ve said before — Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon, Smoke Signals…you know I like to hoopla the posts up!  I hope to see your project in there!
