Ohhh, the Color…
I’m sure we all have a tremendous love affair with that gorgeous siren, Color. Personally, she makes me melt, she makes me swoon and sometimes, she breaks my heart with her beauty. I know for sure she makes my family be embarrassed to be seen with me whenever I spy something that’s wonderful because, you know. The Stopping, The Staring, The Exclamations. Are all of us together on this? Oh, I bet we are!
So, I usually develop an obsession for one and it lasts a bit. For some time it was Pink, then Orange and now it’s somewhere in the land of Blues & Green. Tell me – what are your thoughts on these?

I'd seriously have to resist running my hands all over these velvety walls. That color is so inviting!

Such beautiful colors! Do you have different favorites from time to time or has it always been a love affair with the same color for you?

Hi Regina,
I really love all colors but for some reason, I have always responded especially to the blue green mix. It’s really the combination of two or more colors that make it sing rather than a single lone color… kind of like people!

Sigh…you are preaching to the choir here! That first shot is delicious….if we were together when we saw it, we would be boosting one of us up the fire escape to get better photos!!! Color dictates my mood each day and recharges my batteries.

Add me to the choir! I love all color when it’s done well. I do however get fixated on specific ones at times, too. When I was doing a room for the local designer house 1 1/2 years ago, everything I looked at was that pale peachy pink. That included clothes, housewares, ads, EVERYTHING! and since the accent was turquoise (a perennial favorite), that was a focus, too. So I am LOVING these photos, today!

Love all of these, blues and greens are calling me these days, wish I had time to change my old color scheme in my house, my last obsession was carmels / with orange accents, now find those boring, lol

I’ve always loved greens and blues and everything in between. Now that grey is on the come back I love how it’s part of the mix. The Swedish/Belgiun thing in colorways is awesome with a strong shot of either blue or green. I’m with Theresa, “sigh…” you had me at the first shot.

I know, that first shot is sublime. So glad most feel an affinity for these colors… And Theresa, you SO called it since we would definitely be on the fire escapes and/or getting into all kinds of trouble just to get a closer look! Good times.

The purple and yellow flowers out in my yard have been a treat lately.
But you know I can’t resist putting a brown glaze on everything!
Just a little patina!
